AI Will Not what, exactly?

I think AI Will Not doom us all, as some people seem to believe. This isn’t to say it won’t (and doesn’t already) impact our lives in a ton of ways, both good and bad.

The Human-Meets-AI-Society train has already left the station, nothing can stop it. And (A)I Will Not sit around watching how all this unfolds without trying to understand the everythingness of it. And without trying to help make AI better at being beneficial for all of us.

To be clear, right now, when I’m starting this blog (June 2024), my impact on the AI scene is precisely zero. But I hope this will change soon, as I firmly believe an AI-laden society will work out OK if we involve as many smart and diverse people as possible in shaping it.

Bio: 

I’m Florin and I live in the EU. I have no prestigious degrees or fantastic previous jobs to list here. I started uni (organic chemistry) many years back but didn’t graduate. I wrote content for tech news websites for well over a decade. I effed around with silly & failed projects for even longer than that.

I’m interested in cosmology, anthropology, linguistics, music, plus a whole bunch of other fields. And I’ve been trying to finish writing a book (an arguably ambitious one, in my defense) for quite a while now. And that’s it. That’s the bio.
